So another racing game comes out that looks just like the last one. Like duh.
I think a British game manufacturer should take a punt and create a 'Race Britain' a game where you drive various circuits around the UK.
Imagine, racing along the Cornish coast going into little villages and towns. The Liverpool street circuit. Through Clifton Village in Bristol. Take on The Lake District. Through Sheffield's industrial estates...
...it would be awesome.
Plus you do tie in's with local businesses and tourist spots, picking places to stay as you burn around the UK, for example.
Really interesting piece about Avatar v Modern Warfare 2.
Fantastic to see the the games industry is really starting to rival the film industry with how much money poeple are prepared to put into it to get a return.
Infact, in this example Modern Warfare 2 had 200 million to spend on advertising where Avatar only got 150 mil.
I have just been reminded of Star Fox. I remember having it on the SNES back in 1993 and thinking how amazing it was, it looked like you were playing a game from the future!
Games of today just don't look like they are from the future, we expect them to look amazing, and so this is why i would like to thank Star Fox and all the people who worked on it, you made me feel like i had special glasses on, special future glasses.
